Janus, the Roman god of doors and transitions, was always portrayed with two faces - one looking backward, and one looking forward. We too need to use the turning of the year to look back in assessment, and to look forward in anticipation.
We can benefit, at this time of year, from some honest reflection, asking ourselves: what could have produced a better result if it had been done differently? There is always something to be learned.
Yet even more importantly, this is the time for looking forward. What are our plans, and what are we hoping to achieve
